A post for Dom.

Sometimes I think it's so easy to get caught up in everyday life, and not to really sit back and think about how lucky we are.

Well the other day (in the strangest of places.... sainsbury's car park to be exact) I did just that. We had just finished working for an hour in Cielo and popped over to get some sweets for the trick or treaters, and we were chatting and laughing, and it was one of those moments where you just think... god I'm so lucky.

Being with Dom is something else to me. I've never had a relationship like it, and well I guess that's why I'm marrying him! We just go together, and we just work. 

I know I'm not the easiest of people to be with, believe me! And sometimes in my head I can get so caught up in the things that feel aren't going right, but he's always there and he always makes it ok. 

We may not have everything, but at the same time, we have more than everything.

I want to always remember these days and always remember just how happy he makes me.

My favourite thing about our relationship is that we don't argue. Neither of us like to argue, and in the 3 years we've been together, we have never argued! We've had the odd tiff.. of course who doesn't.. but an argument .. nope, and every day... and I mean every day, even if it's been a tough one, we laugh. He always makes me laugh. Always. This is one of my favourite things about him. I feel like we have so much fun.

So here it is. A small token of my love for him. This post. Just incase he ever forgets how much I love him. 

Let's Plan A Wedding!!!

So it's been 7 months already since Dom popped the question to me, and we haven't done a thing to start planning the big day!!

Day's fly by so quickly I can't believe it's already been 7 months!! 

We were talking today and decided we would start planning, although we're in no rush, we want to start getting things planned!

We can't wait to be married and feel like a whole family, I can't wait to share the same name as the man I love and my daughter. I know a lot of people say it's only a name, but it's important to me to have the same name as my daughter, and although we are no less of a family right now, it will be so nice to feel whole. Although I must admit, I will be quite sad to lose my italian surname, and no longer be a D'Andrea, though of course I will always be at heart!!

So I hope to start documenting our progress and ideas on this blog, I hope if any of my readers know of any good sites, or helpful tips, they will leave me some links below!

Let's go back to the start...!

23rd March 2013

I'd had my suspicions for around a week that we may be pregnant, but didn't want to say anything to Dom until I was more sure. I'd been at work and it'd been a long day, I was super tired and sure I knew why, I mentioned to Dom that I was a few days late.. His eyes lit up and I was dreading being wrong about this! It was a Wednesday night, and we decided to give it a few more days, and take the test at the weekend when we were both home so either way we could spend time together after.

The next few days dragged and we went to bed every night excited for the weekend, even though I was already convinced I was pregnant! 

So the weekend came around (FINALLY!) and I woke up at 6am, I'd heard it was best to take the test first thing in the morning, and not only was I dying to know for sure, I was dying for a wee! I woke up Dom and said I had to go, so I had to take the test now, he went from asleep to awake in seconds!

I went into the bathroom and thought of all the films where they sit waiting for ages to get the results!  I seriously thought it would take longer! I was nervous and excited all at once.. either way this was about to get real!

Literally no sooner had I pee'd on the stick, two very distinctive lines appeared and there was no more doubt about it...WE WERE PREGNANT!!!

I tried to keep a straight face as I walked back into the bedroom, it was even harder to keep a straight face once I saw Dom sat up in bed, with the look of utter terror on his face! He said he was trying to guess the answer by the look on my face! When I finally told him, he was over the moon! We sat hugging for ages and every time we looked at each other our grins just got bigger and bigger! 

We decided not to tell people for a little while longer.. little did I know though just how hard a secret I was about to try and keep!!

a year in the life of us...

I've been meaning to do a post about this for a while, especially since the 27th of August!

Dom and I celebrated a whole year together!! 

When i think back to how we met, and when we met it all seems so surreal! 

I love that we've made it though and despite all the ups and downs of a LDR we're still together.

I feel we're so strong because of what we have to go through to be together, and when we finally move in together it will be like a whole new chapter for us to explore! I can't wait!!

What an amazing year!! 

When i look back at all the photos i can't believe how much stuff we've done, from tor climbing, go-karting, camping, leopups walking, holidays to greece and italy, camping in a petrol station (lol) silly photo booth mornings, bus rides to bristol, bike rides, gigs, shopping trips, strawberries in bed, hot chocolate in bed, cake pops, cinema trips, food trips... when i think of all this i wonder how can life get any better?!

Can't wait to have him by my side always <3
