On your first day.

The day has come, I feel I've been waiting for this day all summer, hoping it wouldn't come around quite as fast as it has! While I tried my hardest to enjoy the summer and make the most of each day, every day felt bitter sweet as it was one day closer to this day.

While I am so excited to see who you become now you've started school and I'm excited for all your stories and all the things you'll bring home to show me, I can't help but feel sad that this is another step towards you growing up. I've had to let you go just that little bit more.

The days leading up to this day have been hard and emotional, I've cried and I've longed for you to be a baby again, even though I know this is all part of life it doesn't make it any easier!

It's true what they say, the hardest part of being a parent is letting go and letting you grow.

Today my heart is hurting, but I know it will get easier.

You made us so proud today. As we got out of the car, you hugged me tight and said "Mummy I'm nervous.." I was worried you'd get upset, but you didn't, you bravely walked in to the school and when it was time you blew Daddy and I a kiss and we waved goodbye to you.

Well done Bee - You are going to be brilliant.

I can't wait for 3 o'clock...!

Love you x

Easter 2017!

I can't believe that Easter has been and gone already! This year is really flying by!

We had a great Easter and really enjoyed the Easter holidays!

Skye went to bed excited for the Easter bunny and was really pleased to wake up and see what he had left for her! :)

I love how excited she gets for all these things now that she is a little older!

We then went out for lunch with all the family and Skye got to run around and play with her older cousins.

Once lunch was done we headed back to mum's and the kids did a little Easter egg hunt! Though I'm not sure who got more excited about it...*ahem...Dom* ..!!

After a lovely day and too much chocolate, we were all ready for a good nights sleep!

When Skye went back to nursery after the holidays, we found out they were doing an Easter bonnet parade on the Friday, so we bought supplies to make her a hat! She really enjoyed making her hat and sticking all the things we had got to go on it, Dom was even allowed to help her!

I'll definitely remember her first Easter bonnet parade forever, she did so great even though she was very nervous about it! I still remember doing my Easter bonnet parades when I went there all those years ago! ( I hated it!! )

Starting Nursery.

Tomorrow morning my baby girl goes for her first proper session at nursery.

I can't quite believe it has come around so quickly and before we know it she will be starting school!

I decided last year that when she was three I would start taking her to nursery just to get her ready for when she starts school and get her in to the habit of getting ready and going, and also learning to be away from me.

Though in saying that I think it's far more me that needs to learn to be apart from her! When I put her name down last year it felt like such a long way away, but now the day is here and I can't quite imagine not being with her! I can't imagine leaving her behind or leaving her with strangers!

She is only going for a few hours in the mornings but I feel quite sad as this was our treasured part of the day. She would help me with the house jobs, and play quietly in her room while I got ready, sometimes pretending to do her make up with me as I did mine and now I feel quite sad at the thought of returning home tomorrow morning without her!

I know it will be good for her, and I know she will be back before I know it, but it really doesn't stop me dreading the morning and wishing she could stay my baby for just a little longer.

Please send positive thoughts our way as I feel tomorrow is going to be a tough day for this mama!

Baby Hawk Mei Tai Carrier *review*

As it is international baby wearing week, I thought now would be a good time for a review of my favourite carrier!

After struggling to find a carrier that suited me, I stumbled across the baby hawk carrier after seeing another mama on instagram using one.

I loved that it had fully adjustable straps as I'm very petite I always struggled to find one that comfortably fit my frame and made carrying my daughter a pleasure rather than a struggle! Not to mention all the different colours and patterns to chose from!

As soon as I received my carrier, I tried it out around the house to get a feel for it, and gain confidence in putting it on and getting my daughter in and out of it. We first tried the front carry and I was amazed at how comfortable and light she felt!! The straps supported in all the right places and I instantly knew I was going to love this carrier!! We then went on and tried the back carry, My daughter loved this also and she sat quite comfortably in this position also :)

Now I've had my baby hawk mei tai carrier for around 3 months, and I have waited until now to review it as I wanted to use it and try it out so I could give my honest opinion on it!

Honest opinion?

I LOVE it!!

I used it when we travelled abroad in August and it was a life saver! I almost felt smug watching others around the airport struggling to hold their kids, luggage and paper work, while I was hands free and not to mention stress free! I had previously travelled on a plane when my daughter was 5 months old and it really was a struggle! I had another sling carrier but I wasn't confident using it and I didn't feel it gave the support I needed, I don't think I even used it at all on the holiday! But the baby hawk was different! As we had travelled to Italy this time for our holiday we took walks up steep mountain villages and the carrier again was a life saver!

Plus as a side note.. As my daughter is now 10 months old and into everything, I can't leave her for a moment, so this morning I actually applied my make-up with her in the back carry position.. we sang row row row the boat.. which made doing my eyebrows difficult but so worth it every time i saw her face in the mirror behind me! (high five for wonky brows!)

I just cannot rate it enough! I would deffinately recommend this carrier for smaller ladies, if you are struggling to find one that gives a good fit and good support. For ref I am 5ft tall and size 4-6.

Where did I buy it? I got mine from a lovely site called www.sasaslings.co.uk
I spoke to a lovely lady over Facebook before I ordered and I was lucky enough that the colour I had wanted was on promotion!!

Anyone else in love with this carrier?
What is your favourite carrier?

I'd love to know! :)
